TLDR Half follicular grafts are not effective for hair transplants.
The study investigated the effectiveness of using half follicular grafts in hair transplantation for androgenetic alopecia. Conducted on four male patients, the research involved implanting 697 upper half and 694 lower half follicular grafts. Results showed that only 50 hair shafts grew from the upper half grafts, while 152 hair shafts emerged from the lower half grafts. The findings indicated a low percentage of terminal hair growth from half follicular grafts, leading to the conclusion that this method was not a viable alternative for cosmetic hair transplantation.
