    Resmi Mustarichie, Imam Adi Wicaksono
TLDR Sterculia urceolata ethanol extract promotes hair growth in male rabbits.
The study investigated the hair growth stimulant activity of Sterculia urceolata JE Smith's ethanol extract and its fractions. The leaves were macerated and the extracts were tested on male rabbits for 18 days, with Minoxidil 2% as a positive control. The 15% ethanol extract concentration showed the best results compared to the control. Among the fractions, the water fraction at 15% concentration had a statistically significant effect on hair growth. The study concluded that S. urceolata ethanol extract and its fractions promoted hair growth in male rabbits, suggesting further research on human volunteers is needed.
