TLDR Frequent hair coloring and styling can damage hair and cause breakage or loss.
Hair is a significant aspect of body image with psychological importance, especially for women who often change their hair color or style. Natural hair variations, such as straight, wavy, or curly, and different colors, are part of our identity and can be altered by fashion, culture, or society. Different hair types and damaged hair respond differently to coloring and waving methods. While hair cosmetics are generally safe and manipulate hair structure, they can cause damage, including hair breakage, hair loss, and loss of condition, particularly in individuals who frequently change their hair's natural style.
