This study utilized the Human Phenotype Project's 10K cohort to investigate the associations between the gut microbiome and 37 health conditions, including obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases. By analyzing 1,184 microbial species and approximately 200 phenotypic features, researchers found significant associations in 14 health conditions, often linking increased microbial abundance with favorable health states. The findings suggest potential microbial targets for health interventions and provide a publicly available resource to aid future microbiome research and health strategy development.
