Influence of Gushen Shengfa Pills Combined with Wuling Capsules on Th1/Th2 Cytokines in Patients with Alopecia Areata

The study investigated the effects of Gushen Shengfa pills combined with Wuling capsules on patients with alopecia areata and liver and kidney deficiency symptoms. A total of 120 patients were divided into two groups: the control group received minoxidil tincture, compound glycyrrhizin tablets, and compound cystine tablets, while the observation group received minoxidil tincture, Gushen Shengfa pills, and Wuling capsules. After 3 months, the observation group showed superior improvement in hair loss area, hair growth, and sleep quality compared to the control group. Additionally, the observation group exhibited better regulation of Th1/Th2 cytokines, with decreased levels of IFN-γ and IL-12 and increased levels of IL-4 and IL-10. The study concluded that Gushen Shengfa pills combined with Wuling capsules were more effective in promoting hair growth and improving sleep quality than the control treatment.
