Effects of Fumai Paste on EGFR of Skin in Vinorelbine-Induced Extravasation Injury Model Rats
January 2014
TLDR Fumai Paste helps heal skin damage from chemotherapy better than magnesium sulfate.
The study aimed to evaluate the effects of Fumai Paste on EGFR expression in a vinorelbine-induced extravasation injury model in rats. Forty-two rats were divided into two groups, with one group receiving Fumai Paste and the other receiving 50% magnesium sulfate. The results showed that Fumai Paste stimulated earlier and stronger positive expression of EGFR in the skin compared to magnesium sulfate and normal saline. This increased EGFR expression was associated with the generation of granulation tissue and squamous epithelium, accelerating the healing of damaged skin. The study concluded that Fumai Paste could effectively prevent and treat chemotherapeutic phlebitis through its external application.
