TLDR Tretinoin cream successfully treated a woman's skin condition called Fox-Fordyce disease.
A 21-year-old woman with a three-year history of intensely pruritic papular eruptions in her pubic area and axillae, diagnosed with Fox-Fordyce disease, experienced successful control of her symptoms using topical 0.1% tretinoin cream. The condition, which worsened in warm environments and led to decreased hair growth in affected areas, showed histologic features consistent with Fox-Fordyce disease, including mild acanthosis and a keratotic plug.
