The research conducted by Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research and Shri Vithal Education and Research Institute's College of Pharmacy formulated a pure herbal hair oil using dried fenugreek seed (Trigonella foenum-graecum) propagated in Aloe vera leaf (Aloe barbadensis). The fenugreek seeds were sprouted within the aloe vera leaf, dried for 24 hours, and then boiled with coconut oil. The resulting hair oil was evaluated for pH, specific gravity, viscosity, irritation and sensitivity, acid value, saponification value, and anti-dandruff and anti-fungal properties. The oil showed good hair growth results, minimal side effects, and satisfactory anti-microbial and anti-fungal activity. It was found to promote robust hair growth, offer effective dandruff protection, and impart a glossy and lustrous appearance, surpassing the effects of marketed formulations.
