Formulation and Evaluation of Fermented Wheat Gluten Herbal Shampoo

    The study aimed to formulate a herbal shampoo (HS) using fermented wheat gluten to reduce hair fall, promote hair growth, and strengthen hair. The HS was made with natural herbal components, including Aloe vera, Hibiscus-rosa-sinensis, Trigonella foenum-graecum, and Phyllanthus, combined with gluten from Triticum aestivum. The shampoo demonstrated excellent cleansing, conditioning, and foaming abilities, and was suitable for both normal and delicate hair. Statistical software was used to optimize the formula and compare it with commercial products, showing that the HS had a favorable pH and stable organoleptic properties.
