TLDR Adding bentonite clays to goat diets increased milk yield, periwinkle shell improved chicken egg production, and vaccination increased muscle area and carcass yield in calves.
The document from 2013 contained three separate studies. The first study involved 12 ewes and found that adding bentonite clays to their diet increased milk yield and components, with the highest yield observed in the diet supplemented with magnetic bentonite nanocomposite (MBNC). The second study involved 108 pullets and found that birds fed 3.75% periwinkle shell (PS) had the highest feed intake and hen-day egg production with improved feed conversion ratio. The third study involved 50 calves and found that while vaccination did not significantly affect live weight, average daily gain, and dry matter intake, it did increase longissimus muscle area and retail carcass yield.
