Feasibility Project for the Implementation of a Company Producing a Hair Loss Treatment Lotion Based on Aloe Vera and Its Commercialization in the Province of Morona Santiago

Nine years ago, a feasibility study was conducted for the creation of a company producing a hair loss treatment lotion based on aloe vera in the province of Morona Santiago. The study used various research methods and surveyed 397 people and 5 hair loss lotion retailers. The results showed a potential demand of 30,340 people, a real demand of 16,990 people, and an effective demand for 118,254 aloe vera hair loss lotions. The supply was 5,088 lotions, leaving an unmet demand of 113,166 lotions. The company was projected to produce 26,000 250g aloe vera hair loss lotions, with a used capacity of 15,600 lotions in the first year. The project required an investment of $62,646.06, financed by 52.11% partner contributions and a 47.89% loan from the Development Bank. The financial evaluation showed a positive net present value of $144,339.86, indicating the project was suitable. The internal rate of return was 63.06%, and the payback period was 1 year, 6 months, and 24 days. The project was not sensitive to cost and revenue changes of 49% increase and 18.48% decrease, respectively.
