TLDR More severe hair loss and longer treatment improve results.
The study analyzed 204 cases of androgenetic alopecia (AGA) to determine factors influencing therapeutic effects. It found that the therapeutic effect was positively correlated with the severity of AGA and the duration of treatment, with correlation coefficients of 0.276 and 0.287 for severity, and 0.36 and 0.40 for treatment time, both with P<0.01. The age of onset had a correlation coefficient of less than 0.2, indicating little impact. Combined therapy was more effective than monotherapy, and oral treatments were more effective than topical treatments alone. The study concluded that more severe AGA and longer treatment durations led to better therapeutic outcomes.
