This case report demonstrates the effectiveness of the Q-switched (QS) ruby laser for removing cosmetic eyebrow tattoos, specifically addressing a 38-year-old woman with blue-green discoloration in her eyebrows after seven unsuccessful laser treatments elsewhere. Over five sessions with the QS 694 nm ruby laser, the patient experienced progressive pigment lightening and eventual complete clearance. However, transient erythema, edema, and a reduction in eyebrow hair density were observed, the latter managed with topical therapy including 5% minoxidil. The report emphasizes the importance of recognizing potential adverse effects, such as reduced hair density, during patient counseling and informed consent.
