TLDR Exosome therapy shows promise for hair growth but needs human trials for validation.
The review of preclinical studies on exosome therapy for hair growth analyzed 10 relevant articles, with 9 indicating positive effects on hair growth, such as prolonged anagen phase, increased hair growth, and alterations in hair-related growth factors. The studies included both in vivo (mouse or rat) and in vitro (mouse, goat, or human cells) research. One study on alopecia areata in a C3H/HeJ mouse model showed improvement with exosome use. Despite promising preclinical results, human clinical studies are necessary to confirm the efficacy of exosome therapy for hair growth in humans.
