TLDR The treatment effectively promotes hair growth and is well-tolerated.
The study conducted by the Ablon Skin Institute and Research Center evaluated the effectiveness of an Exosome Regenerative Complex combined with microneedling for promoting hair growth in individuals with self-perceived thinning hair. The study involved 30 subjects (15 males and 15 females) with an average age of 50.2 years. Treatments were administered on days 0, 30, 60, and 90, with a final assessment on day 120. Results showed significant increases in terminal and vellus hair counts, mean follicular units per cm², and a decrease in hair shedding and inter-follicular distance. By day 120, 97% of investigators noted improved hair quality, and 83% observed improved hair growth. Subject satisfaction was high, and no adverse events were reported, indicating that the treatment is both effective and well-tolerated for hair loss in men and women.

community My Theory Of Androgenic Alopecia

      in Research/Science  17 upvotes 2 weeks ago
Hair loss is linked to cellular physiology and the IGF-1 to TGF-B1 ratio, not just androgen sensitivity. The theory lacks evidence, while finasteride and minoxidil are effective treatments.

Exosomes from Musely are being discussed as a topical hair loss treatment containing ingredients like latanoprost, caffeine, cetirizine, melatonin, vitamin D3, vitamin E, and biotin. Users are curious about its effectiveness and potential side effects, noting it may take 4-6 months to see results.

community How Does Exosome Therapy Work for Hair Loss?

      in Research/Science  5 upvotes 2 years ago
Exosome hair therapy involves injecting stem cell-derived exosomes into the scalp to boost hair follicle regeneration and repair. Exosomes, which are not stem cells but products of them, contain bioactive chemicals and specific growth factors that promote new blood vessel formation, increase cell proliferation, reduce inflammation, and improve tissue repair, all crucial for hair health.
