The study conducted in the Amarasi district of Kupang Regency, Indonesia, explores the use of traditional herbs for treating dandruff and hair loss. It involved 17 traditional healers and identified 18 plants, including 8 single plants and 16 herbs, used for their anti-dandruff and anti-baldness properties. The plant parts utilized include leaves, fruit, seeds, sap, and roots, processed through methods like burning, mashing, and squeezing. These treatments are applied by washing, smearing, or massaging the scalp 1-2 times a week. The findings suggest that these traditional plants have potential benefits for scalp health, as supported by previous research.
