TLDR The dog's skin condition improved quickly with treatment and did not return.
A 10-month-old male beagle with alopecia, scabbing, erythema, and itching was diagnosed with canine eosinophilic dermatitis characterized by eosinophil-dominated pustules. Treatment with prednisolone (2 mg/kg daily) led to rapid improvement, and symptoms did not recur after tapering off the medication over 3 weeks. This case of eosinophilic dermatitis, although rare and typically recurrent, responded well to treatment without recurrence, akin to cases without intraepidermal pustules.
