TLDR The modified forehead lift technique is effective and safe for alopecia patients, with good aesthetic results.
The study describes a modified endoscopic forehead lift technique using three incisions for patients with frontotemporal alopecia, aiming to minimize visible scarring. Conducted on 12 patients (10 males, 2 females) aged 50-66 over 5 years, the technique involved two 3 cm temporal incisions and one 1 cm median incision. The results indicated that this approach is effective, providing good aesthetic outcomes with low morbidity. Complications were minimal, with one case of insufficient lateral eyebrow correction and two cases of glabellar wrinkle recurrence. Overall, the technique is a viable option for treating upper facial aging in alopecia patients.
