TLDR The emulgel with Saw Palmetto and Sophora Japonica shows promise for treating hair loss.
The study developed an emulgel containing Saw Palmetto extract and Sophora Japonica tincture for treating androgenetic alopecia, aiming to provide a plant-based alternative to synthetic drugs like minoxidil, which have side effects. The optimal preparation involved emulsifying at 60°C with a stirring speed of 2,000 rev/min for 30 minutes, resulting in high dispersion and structural viscosity. This method ensured the emulgel had anti-androgenic, venotonic, and follicle-protective properties, making it a promising treatment for androgenetic alopecia.
