TLDR Platelet-rich plasma can help thicken the endometrium and improve pregnancy rates.
This meta-analysis evaluated the efficacy of intrauterine autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP) infusion in treating thin endometrium by analyzing 8 randomized controlled trials with 678 patients. PRP infusion significantly improved endometrial thickness, clinical pregnancy rate, live birth rate, cycle cancellation rate, and embryo implantation rate compared to the control group. However, there were no significant differences in spontaneous abortion rate, chemical pregnancy rate, and endometrial vascular improvement rate. Despite promising results, limitations such as language restriction, sample size, and heterogeneity suggest the need for further high-quality, large-sample trials to confirm these findings.
