TLDR The phyto-caffeine shampoo reduced hair loss and improved hair strength in women with hair thinning.
The study investigated the efficacy of a phyto-caffeine-containing shampoo in treating female androgenetic alopecia (AGA) over a 6-month period. Conducted as a single-center, double-blind parallel trial, it involved female subjects with AGA who were randomized to use either the phyto-caffeine shampoo or a control shampoo. Results showed that the phyto-caffeine shampoo significantly reduced the number of hairs pulled in a hair pull test at 6 months compared to the control (-3.1 vs. -0.5 hairs; P<0.001). Additionally, improvements were noted in hair loss intensity and hair strength for those using the phyto-caffeine shampoo. Both shampoos were well tolerated by participants.
