Efficacy of Dupilumab in Patients With Atopic Dermatitis and Alopecia Areata: A Case Series

    Image of study
TLDR Dupilumab may help hair regrowth in some patients with severe atopic dermatitis, but results vary.
This case series examined the efficacy of dupilumab in treating four patients with both atopic dermatitis (AD) and alopecia areata (AA). Two adult patients experienced significant and sustained hair regrowth, while a pediatric patient showed temporary improvement, and the fourth adult patient did not respond to the treatment. The findings suggest that dupilumab may be effective for AA in patients with severe AD, but results are mixed, and further research with larger samples is needed to confirm its efficacy, especially in pediatric populations.
