TLDR Betamethasone oral mini-pulse therapy showed good or fair results in treating lichen planus.
This study evaluated the efficacy and safety of Betamethasone oral mini-pulse (OMP) therapy in 20 patients with lichen planus over 6 months. Patients received 5 mg of Betamethasone orally on 2 consecutive days per week for 3 months. The treatment response was good in 60% of patients and fair in 40%, with no excellent responses observed. The study concluded that further prospective placebo-controlled studies were needed to clarify the efficacy of oral Betamethasone in treating lichen planus.
