A Comparative Study to Evaluate the Efficacy of Asthisrinkala Lepa and Triphala Mashi with Pracchanna in the Management of Indraluptha with Special Reference to Alopecia Areata

    The study compared the efficacy of Asthisrinkala lepa and Triphala mashi lepa, both used with Pracchanna, in treating Indralupta (Alopecia Areata). Fifty-two patients were randomly divided into two groups of 26 each. Group A received Asthisrinkala lepa, while Group B received Triphala mashi lepa. Both treatments significantly reduced lesion size (p<0.001), but Asthisrinkala lepa was found to be more clinically effective than Triphala mashi lepa.
