TLDR Minoxidil effectively promotes hair growth in seborrheic alopecia.
The study evaluated the efficacy and cardiovascular tolerability of minoxidil 2% solution in treating seborrheic alopecia in 50 patients. The treatment involved applying 2 ml/day of the solution. The results were statistically analyzed using Wilcoxon's non-parametric test and Mac Nemar's test, indicating that minoxidil was effective in promoting hair growth in patients with androgenetic alopecia. The study provided evidence supporting the use of minoxidil for this condition, although it was conducted 35 years ago, and newer treatments may now be available.
