TLDR Growth factors and microneedle therapy increase hair density in women with hair loss.
This pilot study evaluated the effects of growth factors followed by microneedle therapy on female pattern hair loss (FPHL) in 11 Korean women. The results showed that the group treated with growth factors had a significant increase in hair density compared to the control group. The study suggests that growth factors followed by microneedle therapy may be a potential treatment for FPHL. The study provides a novel and safe treatment option for enhancing hair density in women with FPHL.
