TLDR Red clover extract improved hair, skin, mood, sleep, and tiredness in postmenopausal women.
The study evaluated the effects of red clover extract (RCE) isoflavones on postmenopausal women (n=109) over a 90-day period, followed by a 7-day washout and a crossover for another 90 days. Women reported subjective improvements in scalp hair and skin status, libido, mood, sleep, and tiredness after RCE intervention compared to placebo. However, there were no significant differences in urinary complaints, nail, body hair, and mucosal status. Overall satisfaction with RCE treatment was higher than with placebo.
