Effect of Platelet-Rich Plasma in the Treatment of Patients with Androgenic Alopecia

    TLDR PRP injections significantly increased hair growth in patients with androgenic alopecia.
    This study evaluated the effect of Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) on 20 patients with androgenic alopecia. Patients received interfollicular PRP injections twice, 30 days apart. Results showed a significant increase in hair density, with an average increase of 13.9 hairs per cm² after 1 month and 33.6 hairs per cm² after 3 months. The study concluded that PRP positively impacted hair growth in patients with androgenic alopecia.
