TLDR Miracle fruit seed oil significantly reduces hair breakage in women with damaged hair.
The study evaluated the effects of Miracle Fruit Seed Oil (MFSO®) on hair breakage in women with damaged hair over eight months through a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial involving 57 participants. The MFSO group showed significant improvements in hair health, with HHI values improving by up to 215.7% at Month 8, compared to lesser improvements in the vehicle and argan oil groups. No adverse reactions were reported, and participants rated the treatment as safe and effective. The study concluded that MFSO significantly reduced hair breakage and improved hair health, making it a viable treatment option for damaged hair.
