TLDR Coconut oil mixed with egg yolk and vitamin E may improve rabbit hair growth more than other plant oils.
The study investigated the effects of oils extracted from Amla, rittha, and sikha Kai, as well as a mixture of coconut oil with egg yolk and vitamin E on hair growth in male rabbits. Five healthy adult male rabbits were used, with hair trimmed at three points on each rabbit for oil application. The rabbits were divided into three groups: a control group with no oil application, a group with Amla, reetha, and Sikhakai oil (T1), and a group with the coconut oil, egg yolk, and vitamin E mixture (T2). No signs of eye or skin irritation were observed from the oils. The results indicated that the coconut oil mixture with egg yolk and vitamin E could potentially enhance hair growth more effectively than the other oils, but further analysis is needed to confirm these findings.
