TLDR Convolvulus arvensis ethanolic extract can potentially promote hair growth and reduce hair loss.
The research studied the impact of Convolvulus arvensis ethanolic extract on testosterone-induced hair loss in 50 adult male albino mice. The results indicated that the extract significantly reduced hair loss and increased follicular density and the anagen/telogen ratio compared to the groups treated with testosterone gel alone or with glycerine cream. This suggests that the extract promotes hair growth by inducing the anagen phase in resting hair follicles. The extract was found to be less effective than the standard drug finasteride, but still showed significant hair growth-promoting effects. The study concluded that Convolvulus arvensis ethanolic extract could be a potential agent for promoting hair growth.
