The plant contained phytochemicals like coumestans and flavonoids, contributing to its therapeutic potential. It was traditionally used for liver disorders, cancer, and osteoporosis, among others. Despite its broad spectrum of effects, the molecular mechanisms were not fully understood, indicating a need for further research to enhance its application in modern medicine.
