TLDR A person had two different benign skin tumors, a trichoadenoma and melanocytic naevi, at the same time but in different places on the face.
The document discusses a rare case of dual tumors, specifically a trichoadenoma, which is a benign tumor with hair follicle differentiation, and melanocytic naevi, occurring on the face. While there have been reports of melanocytic naevi associated with another benign adnexal tumor, trichoepithelioma, this document presents an unusual case where trichoadenoma and melanocytic naevi appeared simultaneously but at different locations. Trichoadenoma and trichoepithelioma are considered to be on a spectrum, with trichoadenoma being the better differentiated of the two. The reason for the association between trichoadenoma and melanocytic naevi remains unclear. The key message is that benign dermal adnexal tumors like trichoepithelioma and trichoadenoma can be found in association with melanocytic naevi.
