Diagnosis of Pemphigus Foliaceus in a Pinscher: Case Report

    TLDR An 11-year-old female Pinscher with Pemphigus Foliaceus was successfully diagnosed and treated.
    A case of Pemphigus Foliaceus, an autoimmune dermatopathy, was diagnosed in an 11-year-old female Pinscher presenting with hair loss, intense scratching, and pustules. Diagnostic methods included trichogram, skin scrapings, cytology, and histopathology, which revealed acantholytic cells. The dog was treated with oral prednisolone and chlorhexidine shampoo baths. This case highlighted the importance of initial diagnostic tests and histopathological studies for accurate diagnosis and effective treatment.
