TLDR Onychomatricome is a benign nail tumor with specific dermoscopic features that help distinguish it from cancer.
A 57-year-old man presented with a 5-year history of a painless nail lesion on his right fifth toe, characterized by leuco-xanthonychie, deformation, and thickening of the nail plate. Dermoscopic examination revealed yellow and white parallel longitudinal bands, hairpin vessels, and splinter hemorrhages, suggesting a nail tumor. Histological analysis confirmed the diagnosis of onychomatricome, a benign fibro-epithelial nail tumor. The study highlighted the clinical and dermoscopic features of onychomatricome, emphasizing its differentiation from squamous cell carcinoma.
