TLDR A lip nodule from a filler injection was successfully removed with surgery.
A 45-year-old female experienced a delayed complication from a hyaluronic acid filler injection in the lower lip, developing a painless, well-defined nodule four weeks post-procedure. The nodule, resembling a cyst-like lesion, was successfully treated with surgical excision. This case highlights the importance for clinicians to consider various potential causes for lip nodules, including salivary gland cysts, soft tissue tumors, and filler-related nodules, as they present unique diagnostic and management challenges.
