TLDR The microneedle patch with CuxO nanozymes effectively promotes hair growth for treating hair loss.
The study explores a novel treatment for androgenetic alopecia (AGA) using a microneedle patch loaded with ROS-scavenging CuxO nanozymes. These nanozymes are synthesized through an eco-friendly method and demonstrate effective ROS-scavenging abilities. The microneedle patch facilitates the delivery of CuxO to the hair follicle area, reducing oxidative stress and promoting hair follicle transition from the telogen to the anagen phase. This approach significantly enhances hair regeneration and shows therapeutic efficacy comparable to minoxidil, indicating its potential as a safe and effective treatment for AGA.
