TLDR In Freixo de Espada à Cinta, many people have skin lesions, especially moles and acne.
The study conducted in Freixo de Espada à Cinta, North-Eastern Portugal, analyzed the prevalence of various cutaneous lesions in a closed community of 1,000 subjects. The findings revealed that 51.9% of participants were phototype III, with melanocytic nevi present in 81.2% and androgenetic alopecia in 20.5% of the population. Notably, solar keratosis was found in 30.6% of individuals over 60, a significant increase from the previous decade.
