    F. Maurier, T. Moulinet, J. Galland
TLDR A Laotian man with unusual skin changes and multiple growths in his gut was diagnosed with Cronkhite-Canada Syndrome and improved with nutritional and immune-based treatments.
A 56-year-old man from Laos presented with significant weight loss, asthenia, pruritus, and changes in skin and nail color, along with total alopecia. Clinical examinations revealed gastrointestinal polyposis and various deficiencies. The diagnosis was Cronkhite-Canada Syndrome (CCS), a rare condition characterized by ectodermal changes and gastrointestinal polyposis. Treatment included parenteral nutrition, vitamin supplementation, and corticosteroids, leading to normalization of the patient's weight, nail, and hair pigmentation within three months, and complete recovery of gastrointestinal health after one year.
