TLDR Curcuma longa and Dalbergia sissoo may work well together to treat inflammation, stress, and cancer.
This review examines the therapeutic potential of Curcuma longa and Dalbergia sissoo, focusing on their pharmacological activities and traditional uses. Curcuma longa, known for its curcumin content, has demonstrated antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anticancer effects, with clinical trials supporting its use in treating various conditions. Dalbergia sissoo, while lacking extensive clinical data, shows promise in bone healing and anti-osteoporotic activities based on preclinical studies. Despite their shared therapeutic properties, research on their combined effects is limited. The review highlights the need for future studies to explore the synergistic benefits of these plants, particularly for chronic inflammation, oxidative stress, and cancer, suggesting their potential in novel drug development.
