TLDR Two sibling goat kids were born with goiter and hair loss.
A case study involving nine adult female Boer goats undergoing artificial insemination revealed congenital goiter in two prematurely born sibling goat kids. The kids, one female and one male, were delivered approximately two weeks early and exhibited bilateral swelling at the laryngotracheal junction and generalized alopecia. Despite the absence of delivery complications, both kids were euthanized and sent for necropsy to investigate the underlying causes of these conditions.
