This study conducted at a tertiary care center in Central India involved 152 patients with scalp dermatoses, revealing that autoimmune conditions were the most prevalent, with alopecia areata being the most common. The study found that scalp disorders, which often affect the parietal region and are most common in individuals aged 21-30, can significantly impact both physical and mental health, leading to lowered self-esteem and quality of life. The findings emphasize the importance of accurate diagnosis and treatment to address the physical and psychological effects of these conditions.
