TLDR The solution increased hair density safely and effectively for hair loss.
The study evaluated the efficacy and safety of a topical poly-gamma glutamic acid hydrogel nanoparticle-based fermented extract solution (PGA solution) for treating androgenetic alopecia (AGA) in a 24-week, randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled trial with 50 participants (36 men and 14 women). Results showed that the PGA solution significantly increased hair density compared to the placebo, with a hair density increase of 7.24±2.52/cm2 versus 1.53±1.39/cm2 in the placebo group (p<0.0001). The average hair density after 24 weeks was 129.90±23.04/cm2 in the PGA group compared to 115.32±20.35/cm2 in the placebo group. No adverse reactions were reported, suggesting that the PGA solution could be a safe and effective treatment for AGA.
