The study investigated the role of MIP-1α and MIP-1β in 60 Iraqi women with PCOS compared to 30 control women. Results showed a significant increase in MIP-1α levels in the PCOS group (635.28 ±20.58) compared to controls (571.20 ±25.92), while the increase in MIP-1β levels in PCOS women (191.85 ±17.54) compared to controls (165.31 ±11.01) was not statistically significant. These findings suggest that PCOS is associated with low-grade chronic inflammation.
