TLDR Chemotherapy and radiotherapy improved quality of life and reduced symptoms in lung cancer patients.
The study examined the effects of chemotherapy and radiotherapy on blood cell counts in 59 lung cancer patients, categorized by gender and age. It found that while blood cell counts generally returned to normal after treatment, some deviations were observed. Radiotherapy's positive effects were limited to the targeted area, with common side effects including sore throat, tiredness, hair loss, nausea, and fever. Non-small cell lung cancer patients experienced symptoms such as weight loss, shortness of breath, and fatigue. Overall, the therapies improved quality of life and minimized symptoms.
