TLDR Three Indian medicinal plant compounds help hair growth.
The study isolated and characterized three aromatic compounds from Indian medicinal plants: thymol from Trachyspermum ammi seeds, β-asarone from Acorus calamus rhizomes, and eugenol from Syzygium aromaticum flower buds. These compounds were identified using various spectral data techniques and compared with authentic samples. In-vivo hair growth studies showed that all three compounds exhibited good to moderate hair growth activity compared to the control compound, minoxidil.
