These compounds exhibit various pharmacological effects such as anti-hyperlipidemic, anti-tumor, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and anti-oxidant properties, demonstrated through in vitro and in vivo studies. This review highlights the plant's potential for developing functional foods aimed at disease prevention and management.
