TLDR Black tea extract at 5% concentration promotes the most hair growth.
This study evaluated the stability and effectiveness of black tea extract hair tonic in promoting hair growth using rabbits. Three formulations with different concentrations of black tea extract (1.25%, 2.5%, and 5%) were tested for physical stability and hair growth efficacy. All formulations were found to be stable. The 5% black tea extract formula (formula 3) showed the highest effectiveness, resulting in an average hair growth of 9.62 ± 0.365 mm by the 18th day. The findings suggest that black tea extract can stimulate hair growth, with the 5% concentration being the most effective.
