TLDR Fascial Manipulation treatment helped a woman with vulvodynia and other health issues.
The case report presents the treatment of a 28-year-old woman with vulvodynia using the Fascial Manipulation (FM) method over eight sessions from March to December 2018. The patient had suffered from vulvodynia symptoms for nine years, along with comorbidities like back pain, temporomandibular joint issues, androgenic alopecia, acne, and hypothyroidism. The FM treatment focused on correcting fascial imbalances, starting with a childhood finger injury considered the initial cause of fascial compensation. The treatment led to significant improvements or complete resolution of the patient's symptoms, including a reduction in ovarian cysts, with lasting effects confirmed at one-year follow-up. This case suggests that FM can be an effective approach for chronic urogenital pain by targeting the fascial system.
