TLDR PRP's effectiveness in healing is unclear and needs more research.
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a blood derivative with a high concentration of platelets, used in regenerative medicine for its potential in tissue repair and regeneration. Despite its promise in various medical fields, including ophthalmology, cosmetic surgery, and peripheral nerve repair, the efficacy of PRP remains inconclusive. The review highlights the need for rigorous clinical trials to establish its therapeutic potential and optimize its use.
